The Wohnungsgeberbestätigung is a legally required form that your landlord must sign confirming that you have moved into the apartment. It includes the landlord's name, the property address, and your move-in date. Without this form, the Bürgeramt will not process your Anmeldung. Most landlords know about this requirement, but some, especially private landlords or subletters, may not. We provide the correct form and ensure your landlord completes it before your appointment.

Yes, if you have a proper rental agreement or sublease contract and the landlord or main tenant provides a Wohnungsgeberbestätigung. Hotels and Airbnbs generally do not qualify because the operator cannot provide a Wohnungsgeberbestätigung in most cases. Schufa (Schutzgemeinschaft für allgemeine Kreditsicherung) is Germany's primary credit reporting agency.
